Water and Sanitation Hygiene Promotion (WASH)

  • Conducting public health education through awareness arising on best health practices such as (wash hands with soap or ash after visiting toilet, avoiding open defecation, ensuring drinking water point are protected from animals, boiling drinking from un protected source) to the local communities to ensure health society and environment.
  • Distribution of sanitary pads and soaps to school age going girls and vulnerable women in the communities.
  • Drilling and rehabilitating boreholes, protecting water source for human consumption to enable eradication of water born related diseases.
  • Training of community base hygiene promoter committee who will act as communities WASH monitors and facilitators who interact with the communities on daily basis.
  • Forming and training of community water committee who will be entrust for daily administration of community water
  • Training of community leaders and water committees on water treatment and preservation.
  • Training communities on garbage management in the urban centers, market place and home state.
